  1. Great list of summer destinations in India. Some of the places are on my travel list anyway, like Andaman & Nicobar or Ladakh. I would not have spent to much thought about the time of the year I am visiting, to be honest. The picture of Kalimpong looks stunning – I will have to research more about this town.

  2. This list of places to visit in India in the summer really made me realize how little we saw of India. I never realized how many beautiful outdoor spots there are. And that there were some great scuba diving spots that we could add to our travel wish list. It would take many visits to see them all.

  3. I have been Manali, Nainital from this list. Ladakh and Andaman are in my list to do in this year only and I am planning for Lakshadweep. But I heard it is tough to get Lakshadweep permit. Let see if I can manage to visit the place soon.

  4. Lovely list of summer destination though I would not want to head to Pondicherry in that heat. I have been planning Sikkim for the last two years now but well, we all know what has been happening. Hopefully next year will be the time for me to explore it all. And A huge thumbs up for Ladakh. Summer is indeed the best time to get there.

  5. Shillong looks gorgeous, I can see the resemblance to Scotland. I would love to relax in Sikkim with the snow capped mountain backdrop or see the coral reef of Lakshadweep Islands. Great suggestions

  6. There are so many beautiful places in India that are great as summer retreats. I have been only to few of the places mentioned in the list and I would definitely want to fix that. I have Lakshadweep high on my list and have been planning for long. And yes Munnar and Kodaikanal are perfect for pleasant weather during summer.

  7. I never heard of Kalimpong before but its so colourful and majestic. Pondicherry also sounds really interesting and historical. I’d love to visit India in summer.

    1. Nishi Saraogi

From the list given by you ,I have visited only 5 destinations….. Don’t know when n how to enjoy the rest of the beautiful destinations.

  8. What a great list of inspiring places. I think I would definitely want to check out the region that is compared to Scotland. As well, Manali sounds so peaceful- perfect for a weekend getaway.
