Holiday Activities & Adventures ๐Ÿคธ

For me international holidays are for cool & complete relaxation & not having to worry about bookings, standing in queues and planning activities & adventure after reaching our destination..๐ŸŒค๏ธ

Activities & Adventure planning

Ideally our planning should start in December for a May – June holiday with flight monitoring & booking around early February, when in my opinion fares are the cheapest, followed by Hotel bookings, Visa, Internal flight bookings, Activities bookings, Internal trains/buses bookings & Foreign Exchange purchase, in that order. If you ask me, almost all our bookings for Flights, Trains, Buses, Hotels, Internal travel in different cities & almost all activities are therefore completed before leaving station ๐Ÿ

I land up doing extensive research to plan & mostly use, based on the experience of my travel years, TripAdvisor for Reviews & Information, for Hotels. While booking hotels, it is advisable to book the ones offering the “Breakfast included” option although you may have to pay a little bit more..but it’s definitely worth it. Also opt for Free Cancellation & “Pay later at hotel” option, which you can cancel in most cases till 48 hours before check-in date without any charges. Please do not forget to check the terms & Conditions before booking.

For Air Bookings, I check out Skyscanner first and subsequently book the cheapest and shortest duration flights on offer directly with Airlines companies, even if the fares are a few Rupees or Dollars higher than what the agents offer. This to a large extent guarantees better customer service in case of emergencies.

For activities bookings I use, a TripAdvisor company because they have the widest options on offer. In fact ninety percent of our activities and adventures are all booked in advance through Viator. They have an awesome range to choose from and some great offers and discounts for you. Also except few, most entry to landmark buildings, cathedrals, churches, museums, tours, cruises and more can be booked online to save your valuable time by not having to stand in long queues. My experience with them has been truly awesome and they are very well accepted by the travel providers in most countries. For the rest of your activities I suggest you check with company websites for direct bookings, after sourcing information through Google.

Another tip, look for coupon sites. When you go through them & book, you could land up getting up to 10% discount. Not all coupons work though & so don’t be disheartened if they don’t. Keep trying.. though, works. I have been lucky every time & got 10% off on all activities booked through

So what are you waiting for? Go start planning your holiday activities and adventures through The Viator booking option, with great deals and discounts, is now available on your favorite travel blog, Travel with passion.

Till we meet again, wish you the greatest of holidays this New Year. Will be back soon with a new story and a new destination ๐Ÿ•๏ธ

These are some great tips for traveling. We always get the option to cancel within 24-48 hours, should something come up. It’s a little more money, but less cheaper than cancelling and getting hit with a cancellation charge.

For trips, we tend to look out for airfare deals. If there’s no good deal, there’s no traveling. :0(
