It was a call last Friday from someone with whom my relationship goes back many years. And he heads the F&B at my favorite 4* hotel in Kolkata. It’s my favorite for many reasons. One that I have been there umpteen number of times for facilitating leadership development programs. And secondly their food which prompted me to celebrate a family event there. Then of course a staycation recently to experience the other facilities at this lovely hotel. And to also enjoy a winter afternoon with the pawsome guests during the ‘Pawsome Brunch’ event. But this time it was an invitation to enjoy an evening at Regenta Orkos listening to Ghazals by renowned artist Raju Das and his band Rangrez.

Regenta Orkos is a lovely property amidst the green surroundings in South Kolkata. Not only does it have a wide variety of rooms, facilities and great food options, it’s also a happening destination for some great weekend events. The Ghazal Melvana which featured Raju Das an incredibly talented singer and his band Rangrez was one such event. Being a Ghazal lover it was such a memorable evening for me and many others like me who thoroughly enjoyed every bit of their performance.

An evening to remember
The events in Regenta Orkos are thoroughly enjoyable and they come at a great price. This was the second Ghazal evening organized by the hotel and at Rs 999 including taxes what was on offer was unlimited drinks, starters, great food and of course ghazals that enthralled the audience.
