How many days are really enough when one is planning for Mykonos? Probably you can experience quite a lot of Mykonos in a day itself. But that’s not what this pretty island is meant for. You need to park here for at least a couple of nights and take it slow. Here is what we did roaming around in Mykonos on our second day during our three nights stay there.

The city is ideal for spending time at the beaches and the casual walks through the Mykonos city center. Taking a different narrow lane every time in the maize of cobbled streets, shopping a bit and lazing at a restaurant with some great views of beautiful Aegean Sea. Also enjoying a day trip to Delos and an evening dinner sunset cruise on one of the days.
But first a relaxed breakfast

Anna Maria Mykonos Hotel is not only a lovely property with very friendly and helpful staff, but they also serve a great complimentary breakfast spread. Although it’s mostly a dry breakfast the range is impressive with nothing that you would miss. Here are just a few views with much more on offer than you see here.

Our first stop ‘Platis Gialos Beach’

Located just a km away from our hotel Anna Maria Mykonos was the Platis Gialos Beach. The bus from Fabrika, the center of Mykonos to Platis Gialos beach runs every half an hour and the stop is next to the hotel.
The beach is ideal to walk around, swim, have a few drinks and snacks followed by lunch. You certainly would love spending more than a couple of hours relaxing and enjoying the sun on the beach. Have a quick look of what’s there on offer.

We head to Chora after lunch

Mykonos city center also called Chora is one of the prime reasons for tourists flocking to this beautiful Greek destination. We reached the bus station using a public transport bus from Platis Gialos Beach and it hardly took us fifteen minutes. This as above is where we start our walk from next to the bus station through the narrow cobbled streets towards the Agean seafront and the old port.

And Magical Little Venice

One of the most romantic corner of Mykonos bordering the Aegean Sea, Little Venice is the perfect spot for Instagramers and photographers. And with a craze for selfies these days you might have to wait a while to get your chance at this most photographed spot with the blue door behind you.

It’s also a great spot if you love your cocktails staring at the sea as there are plenty of options around. Also if you love observing the gorgeous old houses all in white and if history fascinates you. Experience a bit with us before you go visiting yourself.
