Located on the southwest coast of Finland at the mouth of Aura River is this beautiful small city, Turku. The River Aura is the heart and soul of this city, which happens to be the oldest city in Finland & also at one time the Capital city for hundreds of years. Declared once the official Christmas City of Finland & also designated the European Capital of Culture in 2011, this lovely & unique holiday destination would stay in your heart for ever.
But this evening of ours is reserved for a very very special event. A Dinner Cruise to Loistokari Island aboard one of the oldest Steamship, s/s Ukkopekka. Can’t wait to depart? There we go. All set to board. And reach our dream destination in forty five minutes.

The ship is awesome. An oldie, but very much the latest in terms of amenities. Beautiful setting. A lower deck & an upper deck. All our tables are reserved with our name, a welcome card & some starters to start our celebrations. The choice of drinks are all yours. Not on the house though, so be careful.
And what better than some lively, lovely Finnish music from the music duo to set the evening rolling. Let’s chill out.
As we approach the magical Loistokari, the island is ready to host us.

Come let’s move & have some real fun.

The music duo are back again and this time it is some wonderful music from the 50s & 60s. Dylan, Neil Young, Neil Diamond & more. Hope you are having a great time. Dinner is ready and served. You could start with the starters, before you move on for your full course after a couple of drinks.

My snacks & dinner combo looked like this.

And of course some wonderful dessert to top it up.

Some more wonderful sights of sheer pleasure as we continue into the evening. And after a couple of hours when we headed back this is how River Aura looked.

Loistokari, would surely be an unforgettable experience for you too.
