When a BITS, Pilani guy or girl passes out of the university, they carry back a degree or two and lots of memories to look back on. And as years pass by our circle grows with even our batch mates whom we had rarely interacted with earlier becoming our closest of friends. But the BITSian Day celebrated every year is a wonderful opportunity to gel together with BITSians from every generation, make new friends and understand what drives the current generation. As was it this year as well with 125 cities around the world celebrating this special day in their own unique way. For us it was cruise fun on BITSian Day in Kolkata.

A bit about Vivada Cruises

A cruise on Ganges is the best way to experience this magical City of Joy, Kolkata. And Vivada Cruises next to Millennium Park is your best bet for a memorable journey, although you have few other options as well. Be it the breakfast cruise, the lunch cruise, the evening cruise or the dinner cruise, you can expect to have a great time as you pass by the 54 ghats along the river which all have history & heritage attached to them. And then some of the beautiful monuments of this historic city which you get to see as you cruise.

We had opted for the dinner cruise and it turned out to be such a wonderful evening with 69 of us on board including some with their spouse and some with their child as well. It was fun, frolic and a festival of a different kind with the presence of oldies of the 60’s batch to the youngest who are still studying in Pilani, Goa & Hyderabad campuses.

The 10th BITSian Day celebrations in Kolkata was great fun. As was it in every city where we celebrated. With pictures shared enthusiastically by each chapter.
