The last two days travel and stay at Pinnacle Blue, Goa. A Calangute beach village retreat has been so relaxing and refreshing, with time spent at the sea next door, lazing around in the hotel balcony, some nice choice of seafood and varieties of chilled beer. Today though was going to be different and I was looking forward. Spending a day with the Mathias family at their home in Arpora. Pinnacle Holiday Homes.

Brenden had sent Sanjay to pick me up in his taxi from Calangute and while on the way he gave me a complete picture of the What’s and Where’s of the local surroundings that we were traveling through. And lastly rounding it off with the distance of the different beaches from Arpora, as we were almost there.

Arpora is a village close to the North Goa beach belt and is divided into two parts-a tiny beach spot and a village. This place has its own attractions for travelers as well as local people. Arpora is famous for selling fresh fish such as prawns, tiger prawns, crabs, oysters etc.
St. Sebestian feast is the biggest feast for the Arpora Villagers every year in the month of January. This chapel is situated on the opposite side of grand Pinto Mansion. A huge Hindu population joins with Christians here to celebrate this feast. This action packed place here in Arpora is called Tintto. Hindu Dhalo celebrations also falls on the same night of Sebestian’s feast.
Arpora is also very famous for its night market, “The Saturday Night Market” which is open during the tourist season. It’s is a vast colorful market with people from around the state selling and showcasing their goods. The variety is vast. This market came up in Goa in the 1970s during the hippie culture but grew larger and became popular with time attracting tourists from around the globe. The market also hosts several performances from artists and musicians. We had reached.

The first look of this all white beautiful house and the green all around gave me a sense of complete calm and relaxation. Not that I was not relaxed already. This holiday had been fabulous till now and there were still more days of excitement ahead. Including today.

Welcome to Brenden’s home, The Blessings. The Mathias family home. And for us who are their guests, it’s Pinnacle Holiday Homes. Brenden was there with a warm smile. The next few minutes that he spoke welcoming me and helping me to feel at home, he looked the complete professional he had sounded when I had first spoken to him. Almost six months back. As he accompanies me towards my room on the third floor, have a look around this pretty property.

Today was the day for complete relaxation for me. With the lovely Goa weather. Catching up on some reading, indulging with my favorite coffee, standing in the balcony and watching people from far. Then go out for some lunch, come back relax, go around for a walk in the evening and then have dinner. Back and some more reading. Half of it already done, come let’s venture out now in search of a good place for lunch.

Salt Bar & Restaurant is a nice place just two minutes away. Brenden had mentioned that it was quite a happening place with some great food including vegetarian and vegan options and live music during the evenings. Their chilly chicken dish was awesome and a must try according to him and so was the variety of sea food dishes. I decided to keep it for the evening as I headed to this joint a few minutes away. Hungry Fish. One look and I was feeling hungrier.

No fish for me though for now. It was going to be my favorite ‘Alu Paratha’ with curd and pickle, which I keep trying out in different parts of India during my travel. And even abroad, if I find an Indian Restaurant. And to go with it. A Cheese Omelette with lots of green chilies. Come feel the green.

Pinnacle Holiday Homes is very conveniently located with Baga beach just one and a half kms and Calangute beach two kms away. Baga Night Market and Saturday Night Market are also very close by. And it’s just a five minutes walk from the famous clubs and pubs, “Club Cabana”, “Club Tito” & “Blue Lagoon”. I was back to my room to relax and read till it was time for my late evening walk exploring the green followed by my dinner at “Salt Bar & Restaurant”.

As I walked back, Pinnacle Holiday Homes looked absolutely stunning. Come over to experience it.

There are three different options of stay here depending on what you wish. The ‘Luxury Room’ like the one I am staying in, a ‘Deluxe Studio’ and a ‘Family Room’ with two beds. Have a look and pick your choice.

Pinnacle breakfast the next morning was the usual nice and simple one. With my non-veg choice of fruits, omelette, bread, butter and a pot full of coffee, made the way I love. Black without sugar. And then it was time to catch up with the Mathias family. It was wonderful chatting with his mother, his wife and two sweet little ones. Craig, the elder one. And Declan, the younger. Like father, like sons. Health on top of their minds. They were off to enjoy their cycling as I started preparing to head off towards my next destination.

Pinnacle holidays. Holiday accommodations designed from the heart. With the little thoughts that matter.
Pinnacle Holiday Homes. It’s just like being at home with some wonderful people around you. And Champ.
You’ll love your stay here. PIN it for later

A place I should visit.
Gorgeous
Yes you must. You’ll love being there.
Pinnacle Holiday Homes look like the perfect place to spend a holiday. The building itself is beautiful and the rooms shout out ‘luxury’, don’t they? By the sound of it, the Mathias family give a very friendly and personal touch.
Yes Elizabeth it was such a charming and peaceful place. And great hosts, the Mathias family.
So here is my question for you. I was surprised to see everything in GOA in english, the resturant signs etc. Is English the main language in GOA? The Mathias family look like wonderful people who have spared no expense to make your stay pleasant and almost like you never left home. Those are my favorite places to stay. I think that’s why I’ve become such a fan or AIR BNB
English is all over India as the first used language for all establishments including Goa Scott. The state language is used by some in addition.
Great content! Super high-quality! Keep it up! 🙂
Amazing place and people! Looks ideal for a chilled, laid back holiday with luxury thrown in.
I’m a sucker for hotels that are like homestays! They have such a personal feel to them that hotels can’t give! With all the greenery, terracotta tiles and that sculpture, its just so serene and peaceful! Salt bar & restaurant looks cool. I’m glad about the vegan & vegetarian options. With the night lighting, everything looks all the more gorgeous!
Looks so beautiful! seams like an ideal place to relax in Goa. I do feel like any place to stay is ideal in Goa because the nature has it all. Goa was major love to me
I really do love how green it is surrounding the resort and makes the place beautiful, espeically at night when it is all lite up. I would certianley consider a stay here when I eventually get to Goa, the beds look comfortable and I love the decor. And I am also glad that there seems to be a lot of choice for food in nearby restaurants, and I sure do love my fish so this is ideal.
This looks like an incredible getaway. I love when you shared about the Hindu and Christian populations coming together to celebrate. It reminded me of seeing the Christian and Muslim populations in Moshi, Tanzania interacting and being so understanding of one another’s faiths and traditions. Too bad the world as a whole hasn’t found a way to be better at this, right?
So true Britt and I could not agree more.
What a beautiful hotel like homestay. I personally loved its look at night with all lights lit. The property looks gorgeous and I am glad the owners are immensely hospitable too. I am yet to visit Goa and this property is a great recco for me. Thanks!
A good example of hotel like homestay! I appreciate how owners chip in to make the stay more comfortable. Love that balcony and the greenery around, a quiet evening there would be a great experience. The room is indeed luxurious.
