While in Norway, enjoying the scenic Oslofjord on a sightseeing fjord cruise and getting an overview of the city and its attractions is an experience which just cannot be missed.
This trip is a great way to see the capital of Norway and get an overview of the city and all it’s attractions. On this tour we get to pass through narrow idyllic bays and through a maze of islands with small and colorful summer houses. Oslo, with its superb location, offers unique opportunities on and around its fjord which stretches almost into the city center.
We sail past numerous islands, including Hovedøya and the Dyna Lighthouse, through narrow inlets and into sheltered bays with an opportunity to capture the capital on camera from different angles.
We also sail past the one of it’s kind, Norwegian National Opera & Ballet House in Bjørvika in inner Oslo Fjord. The Opera House was designed by the architectural firm Snøhetta AS, which won an architectural competition in 2000. It was officially opened on 12 April 2008 and the building has received many awards. It’s a building open to visitors to walk up to the top, relax & enjoy the scenic beauty of the fjords, colorful islands & the beautiful city of Oslo.
The Sail ship passes close to the peninsula of Bygdøy, housing many interesting museums as well as beaches such as Huk Bay. We also get to see the Maritime Museum with its veteran sailing ships moored outside, and the Fram Museum, housing the polar ship of the same name.
So today we are set to enjoy this trip & that too on my favorite Sail ship Christiania.
Ready to sail off? Lets go..
Our journey starts..

The journey through the fjords, just awesome. So refreshing. Come experience it live, here in Oslo. You too will just love it.
Norway. The country to visit. Perhaps the best in Europe. And it’s just out of the world.

Aren’t the Fjords beautiful? I think I took a million pictures when I took a boat trip there last summer.
what a beautiful adventure! That water looks inviting
And you know I love water 🌫️
Beautiful pictures, it definitely is enticing me to add Norway to my wish list. However, not sure how I’d cope with traveling by sail ship, as I suffer from sea sickness. The deep blue colour of the sea is so different from what we get to see in Mombasa, light blue greenish colour.
You are so right. The colors of water are so different in different seas.
I was told Norway is a great place to visit and your experience sure justify the thought. thank you for sharing
Just an awesome place. My best place till now in all my Europe travel.
I have been to Oslo on a business trip. I really enjoyed the tranquillity of the city. And I enjoyed watching the video you have uploaded; as if I was there again.
Thanks Joanna 😊
