This Beautiful World

Yesterday morning started with a very happy message. A comment from one of my regular readers, Sudeshna. And it made me feel good the whole day. It so happens that she also is a friend from my college and university days in Pilani and do remember we practiced together for a month or so to perform in a musical program during Durga Puja, right in our first semester.

” Your travelogues are so well written and touching – inspires people to travel more..”

Bergen from Mount Floyen, Norway, Scandinavia

That quite sums up the thought that first came to my mind when I decided to start this blog or travelogue, whichever way you wish to call it. To give my friends, family and future followers a feel of being there on a holiday.

Holidays are fun. Glad to share this simple and short video of ours where me and my best friend and better half are enjoying ourselves. This has been one of our most seen and appreciated video on our Facebook page, travelwisesr@indiaandmore. Have a look. Don’t we look happy? And if you like it, do let us know. It would surely add to our happiness.

We have been holidaying for long but the first seed of penning it down, apart from maybe the occasional post that I used to write on Facebook, came from a college and university friend again. Ashish urged me to write a travelogue on our Scandinavia trip after our return last summer. And so was born Scandinavia…a travelogue and your blog, Travels with passion.

Scandinavia – A paradise on earth

The next thought that crossed my mind was, why will anyone read my blog. But then in this age of fast life, low attention spans, stress and life full of other priorities, there is probably nobody who does not wish to move away from the present and get lost in some moments of fun and happiness. And enjoy a holiday.

Could I take them on the same trip that I have myself experienced and in those few ME moments that they have, transport them to a feeling of happiness. And perhaps a desire to explore more, either the same destination or any other. After all, ‘Ye Dil Mange More ( This Heart Wants More).

Faraglioni Rocks, Capri, Italy. On the way from Sorrento to Capri.

And now when my readers write back expressing something similar to what I had wished they would experience, it feels so fulfilling and satisfying. Thank You So Much. Each one of you.

Then to add some more fun, my childhood friend Gautam countered me sometime back. “Your writing is good & I like it. But what is there in addition for me? Can I use your travel website as a one stop solution for planning my holidays and all my bookings? I am sick of paying through my nose to travel companies that I currently use and then there is hardly any freedom. And also, any tips that you wish to give me”. Friends are always special and so I had to act.

My holidays are self planned
My holidays are in my control. I live it the way I wish to..

Holiday Trip planning

That egged me on to share with you some Tips and tricks to save on your next trip. And also to decide on how we should plan our own Dreams or destiny and Holiday Activities & Adventures , we brought to you the whole new features to ease your bookings for flights, hotels, buses, activities, adventure, landmark entry tickets, skip the queue tickets for all important and must visit museums, monuments, cruises, boat rides and much much more.

And the ones that I have picked and suggested to you, Booking.com and Viator.com are the best, time tested by me over the years and has my guarantee of impressive support when you need them. For anything and everything. And when you go through ‘Travel with passion’ you are assured of the best deals, at all times. And the greatest of offers.

But then there still remained the biggest question in my mind. What makes our readers connect with us and feel good. I have looked for an answer and what seems to me is that since my planning for my solo trips and our holidays together start early and at times many months before, I actually start living my holiday much before we actually experience it. The passion with which I plan and then enjoy, probably gets reflected through my words.

The blog reader

It’s you, our readers who have made us achieve whatever little that we have in these few months. We would love to hear from you to make us better. And help add more value to your life and your holidays.

It’s your comment that keeps me going.

This post resonates with us. In this fast paced world, we need to slow down and take the time to enjoy our surroundings and the best way we always do it is to travel and write about our experiences.

I like to travel but I like blogs like yours that look at places I wouldn’t have heard of otherwise. Thank you for your gorgeous photos, too!

I wish I could travel. Really. Illness has been a major obstacle for me to go see places. For now, I make do with reading travel blogs (like yours) and start to dream of being in those places. Thank you for sharing your experiences and beautiful photographs.

I haven’t heard of Viator.com! I’ll have to check that site out when we book our trip this summer! Thank you for sharing!

I really wish that I was able to travel more but with three small kids and a job that ties me here it is not possible. I am so happy for people that get to see the world!
